Water Line #5 to Jerusalem

Gallery

Part of the "mega-projects" carried out by Mekorot, the National Water Company, in recent years, included construction of reception, pumping and distribution stations for new desalination plants in Ashdod and Sorek. Another major project entailed construction of a fifth water line to Jerusalem, containing 2000mm diameter pipelines that required main disconnection taps of appropriate sizes and distances along the pipeline.

The valves selected for the project are triple-eccentric valves with soft sealing made by Dinicola, Italy, designated for pressures of PN10/16, and hard sealing high pressure valves – PN40, made by Ace, Korea.

Mendelson Co. supplied the valves and provided technical support of the above projects. Today, the special valves are installed in the heart of Israel’s new water supply plants.
